Nohealani Rodriguez received the SOAR (Safe Operations and Awards Recognition) award for her quick response to a propane leak from ATS GSE (Airport Terminal Services, Ground Support Equipment). Nohealani was working at a nearby gate and recognized an unusual smell and immediately reported to the PDX communications center who contacted ATS and Airport Authority. Nohealani’s quick actions were especially notable as multiple individuals were smoking in a designated smoking area near the leak.
